…three hard drives later. But this means that reviews will resume tomorrow!
I’ve adjusted a few things at work so hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll have a little extra free time to not only finish the fifty some-odd reviews still in line, but to also implement some changes to the site that I’ve been sitting on for a little while. Hold tight, guys! I promise I’m almost there!
Since I’ve been getting a few emails recently asking for a status update, I figured I’d go ahead and post this to reach as many as possible.
I’m slowly slogging my way through things.
When I first set this site up, I had enough spare time that allowed me to read and review a book a day. Unfortunately for me (and everyone else!), that is no longer an option. I’m lucky to get one done per week now.
I haven’t forgotten, nor have I lost anything.
I think over the course of the next week or so, I’ll try to create a list of what I’ve got left, and the relative order in which the authors are in. That way, everyone can see where I’m at as well, and as I post the reviews, cross said book off for everyone to see. Does that sound like a good idea?
I appreciate everyone taking time out to check up on things. Hopefully in the next few days I’ll have something more than: “I’m sorry, I’m working on it!”
Until then, however: I’m sorry for the delays. I promise I’m working on them! Thank you so much for all your patience.
Starting next week, I’m going to scale down the reviews to twice a week. My free time has been significantly lowered, so my reviews will go up on whatever my days off are that week. I’ve been slowly making my way through the queue, so don’t worry if your novel hasn’t been reviewed yet!
Had a lot going on with family, and things of that nature. Reviews will resume tomorrow 🙂
As a side note, I’ve started training for a 5k mud run. My very first one. More running than I’ve done since high school. Wish me luck!!
Submissions are closed until I catch up a bit. I’ve got close to 100 books waiting in line, which is so awesome! I need some time to get through those before accepting any more.
In the meantime, check out my Patreon or my Donations page. All contributions go to supporting this site!
Had a lot going on lately. Reviews will resume tomorrow. I’ve got a bit of vacation time this upcoming week so hopefully you’ll see quite a few more! It’ll also give me some time to get myself ahead as well.
Also, Wyvacon is this weekend! Shari Sakurai’s book, Adam, will be given away at the book exchange. I can’t wait!
Caleb Broderick, author of The Junkyard Kids, is looking for people interested in reviewing said novel! Serial killers, homeless orphans, and POC that aren’t stereotypes. Check out Caleb’s Amazon page for more information! No purchase necessary.

I’m happy to announce that the recording for the audio critique of Moristoun is finished! Post-production shouldn’t take too long…if it ever finishes downloading. Living in the boonies isn’t just about copious amounts of sweet tea and racism. There’s really bad internet, too.
Not going to be able to make the deadline tonight. Expect one, possibly two (depending), tomorrow! Have fun, kids.
Don’t forget to check out my Patreon to help keep my services free for authors and to decrease the turnaround time!
